Two bipeds and three quadrupeds hiked the Healdville Trail to the summit
fire tower on Mt. Okemo in Ludlow.  This three mile long trail with
2,000 feet of elevation gain was completed by the Vermont Youth
Conservation Corps in 1996.  The trail even has switchbacks!  We made it
to the summit in one hour and thirty-five minutes and after snacks
under the fir trees returned to the trailhead in the same time span.
