Good afternoon, All  –

Based on increasing COVID-19 caseloads in Vermont, The Governor issued new guidance for social gatherings today. The new guidance/order impacts GMC outings and events. Please see excerpt below:

  1. Multiple Household Social Gatherings Suspended. Attendance at all public and private social, recreational and entertainment gatherings, indoor and outdoor, including large social gatherings incidental to ceremonies, holiday gatherings, parties and celebrations, shall be limited to participation with only members of a single household. For the sake of clarity, nothing in this Order prohibits the gathering of members living in the same residence. Individuals who live alone may gather with members of their immediate family residing in a different household.

Based on the new order, multiple household GMC outings should be suspended pending any updated guidance from the Governor¹s office/VT Department of Health.

I know some of us have hikes planned for this weekend and that cancelling them is burdensome and disappointing. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience.

Let¹s hope that the new outing restrictions are temporary and that we can resume group activities soon.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Please don¹t hesitate to reach out to me directly with questions or concerns.

Thanks,

Mike
